Book Freight LLC (“Book Freight,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates gobookfreight.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information you provide when using our website or contacting us for freight services.

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide when submitting a quote request, filling out a contact form, or calling us directly. This may include your name, company name, email address, phone number, and shipment details such as origin, destination, freight type, and weight. If you open an account with us, we also collect business details needed for credit and billing, such as your company address, EIN, accounts-payable contacts, your job title, your electronic signature (with the date, time, and IP address it was signed from), and documents you upload, such as a W-9 or credit application.

We also collect standard web analytics data automatically when you visit our site, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URL. This data is collected through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity and is used to understand how visitors use our site and to improve it. Clarity captures how you use and interact with our pages through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay. Website usage data is collected using first- and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. For more about how Microsoft and Google collect and use this data, see the Microsoft Privacy Statement and How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

How We Use Your Information

Information you submit is used to respond to your freight inquiry, provide a quote, set up and bill your account, or follow up on a shipment. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

We may share your shipment details with vetted carrier partners to price, arrange, and complete freight moves you request. Carriers receive only the information necessary to perform the service.

We also share information with service providers, only as needed to run our business: D&L Transport, our credit and billing partner; our card payment portal (card payments are entered directly on that portal, and we never see or store your card number); and the companies that host and secure our website (including Cloudflare), deliver our email (Google), and provide address lookup on our forms (Google Maps).

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to improve your browsing experience and to collect usage data through Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. You may disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using the site but may limit some functionality. Our site does not respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. Visitors in California are asked before analytics load; a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a decline.

Third-Party Links

Our site may contain links to third-party websites including carrier portals, the FMCSA database, and the Better Business Bureau. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies independently.

Data Retention

We keep information as long as needed to respond to inquiries, provide and bill our services, keep accounting records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. To ask us to review, correct, or delete your information, email [email protected]. We will review and respond to every request, though we may need to keep some records for tax, accounting, or legal reasons. Account documents such as W-9s and credit applications are stored securely, with access limited to authorized Book Freight personnel, and are shared with D&L Transport only when needed for credit review and billing.

Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. Our website is served over HTTPS and form submissions are encrypted in transit. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s Privacy

Our services are directed at businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
