Freight isn’t generic, and neither are we. Every industry has its own commodities, its own equipment, and its own way of getting a load wrong. Find the one that’s yours.
“We move freight nationwide” tells a shipper nothing. What matters is whether the broker on the other end of the phone knows that a coil needs a rack, that a machine at 9’2” won’t clear on a standard flatbed, that a drum of Class 8 corrosive needs hazmat on the carrier’s authority and an endorsement on the driver’s license, or that resin can’t sit in an unheated van in January.
Book Freight works by sector because that’s how freight actually behaves. Each page below covers the commodities, the equipment, and the failure modes specific to that industry — written by the person arranging the loads.
Machine tools, production equipment, fabricated steel, and oversize components. Height and dock rules are the constraint, not capacity.
Step Deck · RGN · ConestogaView Industry →Coils, plate, structural, pipe, and processed metal moving from mills and service centers to fabricators and plant floors.
Flatbed · Conestoga · Step DeckView Industry →Packaged chemical freight — drums, totes, resins, and coatings. Hazmat capacity is the real constraint, and those trucks are harder to find than most shippers expect.
Hazmat · Dry Van · Protect From FreezeView Industry →OCTG pipe, drilling equipment, frac sand, and compressors. Lease roads, pad access, and a rig schedule that doesn’t move.
Flatbed · Heavy Haul · HazmatView Industry →Transformers, substation equipment, turbines, and transmission components. Route engineering before a rate, permits before dispatch.
Heavy Haul · Project CargoView Industry →Wind blades, nacelles, tower sections, solar racking, and battery storage. Long, wide, and heavy at the same time.
Superload · Project Cargo · FlatbedView Industry →Sequenced jobsite delivery and project materials moving to sites that only take freight inside a window.
Flatbed · Project Cargo · Heavy HaulView Industry →Lumber, drywall, rebar, roofing, and masonry. The load works or it doesn’t based on one question: how does the site unload it?
Flatbed · Conestoga · Dry VanView Industry →Stampings, tooling, interiors, and powertrain into plants with no buffer inventory. A down line costs more per hour than the freight costs total.
Expedited · Team · Dry VanView Industry →Components, engines, tooling, and ground support equipment. The part is worth more than the truck, so the carrier matters more than the rate.
Dedicated · Expedited · ReeferView Industry →Produce, frozen, protein, dairy, and beverage. Set point confirmed, trailer pre-cooled, and a reefer download that says what it’s supposed to.
Reefer · Frozen · Protect From FreezeView Industry →Domestic truckload capacity for forwarders who need a dependable trucking partner on the inland leg.
Dry Van · Flatbed · ExpeditedView Industry →The sectors above are where we do the most volume — not the limit of what we haul. If your freight moves on a truck, send us the lane and we’ll tell you straight whether we’re the right fit.
We’re a truck-only brokerage. We don’t do LTL and we don’t pretend to be a forwarder. What we do is truckload, and we do it with people who answer the phone.
